Reaching out to our Community

For more than 50 years the students at St. Mark Parish School have walked down to Anderson House, now the Laurel Cove Community Center.  The tradition has been for the fourth graders to sing for the residents and a few years ago the grade level was changed to 3rd grade.  The children prepare with the music teacher and Mr. Teeter the choir director for the church accompanies the students.  The residents love the songs and enjoy visiting with the students after their presentation.  The students sing each month October through May and enjoy a wonderful relationship with the residents at Laurel Cove Community Center.  The students and the residents enjoy this special relationship and the tradition continues.
