Let's get Involved - Parent activities

Why Connect with the School?
Your enthusiastic leadership enables us to keep operating costs low and fundraisers successful. Volunteering is also a way for parents to become a part of their students’ school life and get to know the teachers, staff, and other parents. Your unique talents and time spent at St. Mark Parish School are invaluable to the spirit of our community.

What Activities Should I Choose?
We hope you’ll choose activities and events that are interesting to you, fit within your schedule, and reflect the current priorities and needs of St. Mark Parish School.

Stay up-to-date with current needs by reading the family envelope.

When Do I Sign Up for Activities?
Signing up for volunteer activities is part of the school registration process. Our major push for scheduling volunteers is in September, at the beginning of the school year. Knowing how many volunteers we can count on at the beginning of the year helps our staff and event leaders plan their important activities of the year.

Do I Need Safe Environment Training?
Archdiocesan policy states that any volunteer working with children or vulnerable adults must have a mandatory background check and receive safe-environment training.

Parents, grandparents, extended family, parishioners, neighbors and special friends are all welcome to volunteer and to attend our free Safe Environment Training. Contact the school office for more details about when the training takes place.
