  Welcome to Ms. Ledesma's Second Grade Class! 
  
  Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am so excited to be your student's second grade teacher!! 
  
  

  Every month, the students are given a virtues home project. This month's virtue is respect. Respect means recognizing the dignity of all people. Please practice the virtue of respect with your students throughout the month of March. Choose one or a couple activities to do as a family. Then, have your students write what they learned and want to share in the community.

   

  This month's virtue project is Wednesday, March 26.

  - Dignity means that every person is worth more than a billion dollars because we are made in the image of God. Think of someone that is hard for you to like. This month pray for this person and ask God to help you see what is good about that person (how they are valuable). Tell your parents about what you see.
  - Jesus says that whatever we do to others, we do to Him. Think of someone that is very old, very young, sick, or poor, who needs extra care. This month, when we see that person, imagine they are Jesus, and treat Jesus well!
  - Learning how to love people that are different from you is an important way to practice respect. Ask your mom or dad to teach you about a different culture, and what they like about it. Maybe they will even make a meal for you based on that culture! Write about the experience.
  
  Please practice the poem Love and Respect In All We Do by Amboss throughout this month. The students will be reciting the poem on Friday, March 28 at this month's Virtue Assembly.
