Washington State
law requires that all children between the ages of eight and fifteen attend
school. It is the parents'
obligation to see that children are in attendance regularly.
Excuses for dismissal for appointments are the parents' responsibility.
Every effort should be made to schedule appointments and family vacations
outside of school hours. If an
appointment must be scheduled during school hours, written notice must be
submitted to the office on or before the day of the appointment for approval by
the principal. Parents/guardians
must pick up the student in the school office.
It is the parents' responsibility to make arrangements with their child's
teacher for any missed classroom work.
No assignments will be issued in advance for any absence.
